Tainaka has worked in the field of early childhood education for over 12 years. Prior to joining the SCPITC team she worked as a reading specialist, teacher and education director. Tainaka has a passion for teaching, coaching, professional development, and strives to ignite a passion for children to become lifelong learners at an early age. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from USC Upstate in Communications/Journalism, a Master's in Early Childhood Education and an Ed.S in Literacy from Converse University in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Outside of work, Tainaka enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, traveling and practicing yoga.
