Kerrie Schnake, MA, IMH-E®-Policy

Be Well Care Well Founder and Director
Kerrie is a change agent bringing more than 20 years of experience working in infant and early childhood systems. Prior to her work with SCIMHA, she established the state’s Infant/Toddler Specialist Network at the University of South Carolina in partnership with the SC Department of Social Services. Kerrie is also responsible for the creation of the state’s Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care designation, designed to align with the World Health Organization’s Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. In 2017 Kerrie created Be Well Care Well, a program designed to support the well-being of child care providers. Recently she co-authored a book on the same topic. ZERO TO THREE awarded Kerrie the first IECMH Leadership in Policy award for her systems growth work to support very young children and their families.
