Why participate in SCPITC’s Service Plan?

Receive FREE monthly certified trainings, in-classroom coaching, and director support from a Certified Infant/Toddler Specialist!

Who will be working alongside me?

Our Specialists are state-certified trainers and coaches with years of experience as classroom teachers and/or program directors. They also received specialized training in infant/toddler care through the Program for Infant/Toddler Care at WestEd. Most of our Specialists are also Infant Mental Health Endorsed®, meaning they have the education, skills, and experience to support you in your important role as a caregiver. You are critical to children’s early relational health, and our Specialists are trained to help you build on your own strengths and feel confident in your work with South Carolina’s youngest children.

How can it help me as a teacher?

We want to support you to use classroom practices that can help your days run smoother, create meaningful experiences for children, and enhance your relationships with families. Another bonus is that participating in a full service plan can help you increase your ABC Quality score!

Even more reasons to participate!

In addition to free certified training hours, all teachers of children ages birth to 5 and program administrators who attend the trainings can qualify for an individual stipend at the end of the service plan. Each participating classroom also gets a small materials grant to purchase new toys and manipulatives for the children.
