Scholarship Opportunity

May 11, 2012 – 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

SC Infant & Toddler Field Guide Train-the-Trainer Scholarships are now available for this one day opportunity in Columbia, SC!  Limited space is available to participate in this latest SC Infant/Toddler initiative.  Join us to learn more about this companion document to the SC Infant/Toddler Guidelines, receive materials and build strategies to support you in training infant/toddler teachers and program administrators using this new resource.

Sixty participants will be selected to participate in this exciting opportunity and will be offered a scholarship totaling $300 which includes registration, materials, breakfast and lunch, as well as hotel accommodations for those living over 50 miles away.  In return, participants are required to deliver at least three (3) SC Infant & Toddler Field Guide trainings to caregivers in their local communities within a year of participation.

Registration is limited to 60 spaces!  Applications will be reviewed with priority given to Infant/Toddler Guideline trainers, PITC certified trainers, and other CCCCD certified trainers who can provide evidence of participating in specialized infant/toddler training.

 

PITC Modules I and II

We will be offering PITC Modules I and II for graduate or undergraduate credit all day on Tuesday, May 8th, Wednesday, May 9th and Thursday, May 10th, as well as Tuesday, June 5th, Wednesday, June 6th and Thursday, June 7th. South Carolina participants will be expected to participate in a pull‐back workday tentatively scheduled for May 23.

Scholarships for South Carolina participants are sponsored by SC Department of Social Services.

We look forward to welcoming PITC faculty, Alice Nakahata (Social/Emotional Milestones), Louis Torelli (Environments) and Janet Gonzalez Mena (It’s Not Just Routine) to Columbia to teach us live and in person. Other PITC faculty will teach via satellite, and USC faculty will lead some sessions.
