questionAre infants allowed to sleep in a sleepsuit, not a swaddle during nap time? My son uses Merlins Magic sleepsuit to sleep. If not he will be rolling all over the crib.

answer

Thank you for your question regarding sleep sacks in childcare. DSS Regulations regarding infants in childcare include that each individual infant must sleep only in an Consumer Product Safety Commission approved crib, the crib must be labeled and used only for that child. Additionally, all infants must be placed on their backs to sleep to ensure safe sleep best practices. Sleep sacks are allowed as long as the size of the sack coincides with the size and age of the infant. Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks again.
