Inclusion

Inclusive practices support children with special needs so they can participate fully in classroom activities with their typically-developing peers. In an inclusive child care setting, children of all physical, emotional, and academic abilities are cared for in the same environment. Children can participate in daily routines and activities with creative adaptations.  Children are recognized as individuals with specific strengths and needs.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a law that protects people from discrimination based on disability. This law says that public accommodations must be accessible to people with disabilities.
